ABOUT MASTER YOGA SWEDEN
Your lifestyle shapes your health.
Master Yoga offers Holistic Retreats with a well-thought-out holistic approach for body, mind, and soul!
Food is our most important source of energy, so let's start here. The right food makes us more alert, happier, and healthier. We get better digestion, sleep, and our brain thanks us. We think better! We become friendlier! In short, food has a fundamental impact on our overall health. The key is fortifying and protective foods, a varied diet with lots of fruits and vegetables. During the Master Yoga Holistic Retreat, we will follow nature's rhythm in our choice of ingredients and eat fresh, locally grown food.
And we welcome different guest chefs! Food should be an experience, a pleasure. We will take the time to taste, smell, and feel the food. Gain new knowledge and inspiration to take home with you. We hope you will appreciate this!
Yoga is often described as the art of living, based on knowledge of life. It is a system of thought and bodywork that includes a variety of techniques, methods, paths, forms, and expressions for strengthening the body, mind, and soul. The mind and body influence each other, as it is our thoughts and feelings that control our actions and well-being.
Some believe that the oldest findings of yoga, from a lifestyle and cultural perspective, are over 25,000 years old, while others claim that yoga is around 5,000 years old. Yoga has now also begun to solve many of our lifestyle problems here in the West, such as ill health, rehabilitation from injury, strengthening mental training, improved oxygen uptake capacity, and giving us a healthier view of our lifestyle. When our internal organs, tissues, blood, and muscles are cleansed of waste and toxins and strengthened from within, not only is our immune system strengthened, but the whole individual is strengthened. There is so much to tell and learn! And it's so exciting!
All yoga instructors at our retreats have extensive experience and are registered teachers with the Yoga Alliance. We invite experts in their fields. We want to give you the best opportunity to develop on the mat. Yoga styles vary according to themes, from Yan styles such as Hatha, Vinyasa, and Ashtanga to Yin Yoga, Restorative, Nidra, Meditation, and Pranayama (breathing exercises). We can also integrate other physical activities, such as in Ronneby, where Ulrica Norberg took us on a hike!
Inspirational lectures are a joyful way to gain new knowledge. Just as important as eating right and keeping your body active is stimulating your brain and filling it with new knowledge and new challenges. Challenge yourself with new patterns. Here too, topics and lecturers will vary depending on the theme of the retreat. Another way to inspire our senses is through art and culture. In May 2022, we will offer a Yoga & Art retreat.
Improved quality of life! Increased joy of living!
